Job Description:
Qualcomm is hiring for the STA Engineer, Associate position in its Hardware Engineering team in Bengaluru. This is an entry-level opportunity suitable for candidates with a background in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering or a related engineering discipline. The current listing indicates 0–2 years of experience, making it relevant for freshers and early-career candidates.
The role is part of Qualcomm’s hardware engineering organization, where engineers work on the planning, verification, testing and optimization of electronic systems used in advanced semiconductor products.
As an Associate Engineer, candidates will work under supervision and support senior engineers with hardware verification, testing, simulation, design analysis and technical documentation. Qualifications & Skills :
- Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Engineering or a related field

- Basic understanding of hardware engineering concepts
- Knowledge of electronic systems and hardware design fundamentals

- Good problem-solving and analytical skills

Roles and Responsibilities :
- Assist with planning, verification and testing of electronic systems.
- Support hardware bring-up and testing activities.
- Assist with testing digital, analog, RF, optical and other electronic systems.
- Support FPGA and DSP-related hardware activities where required.
- Help integrate new features and functionality into hardware designs.
- Assist engineers with simulations and design analysis.
- Support optimization of designs for power, performance and area.
- Work with team members to implement new technical requirements.
- Assist with evaluating and implementing new test solutions.
- Support evaluation and characterization of hardware and manufacturing solutions.
- Help identify potential design flaws, compatibility problems and compliance issues.
- Participate in reliability evaluation of hardware, materials and engineering techniques.
- Contribute to automation and optimization activities.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation for hardware projects.
- Work with cross-functional engineering teams during testing and validation.
- Follow established engineering processes and complete assigned tasks under supervision
