Job Description :
As an Analyst in Software Engineering at Goldman Sachs, you will be part of a dynamic team that develops innovative technology solutions for the firm. You will work on critical projects that impact our trading, risk management, and investment strategies.

A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, business administration, engineering, or a related field.
Requirements
- A minimum experience as a software analyst or related function.
- A highly analytical mindset and ability to understand business needs.
- Excellent communication skills and problem-solving abilities are essential.
- Hands-on experience with technical projects is a must.
- Knowledge of databases, system security and troubleshooting recommended.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience through internships or coursework in software development or related fields.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and tools.
- Understanding of financial markets, trading systems, or risk management concepts is a plus.
Roles and Responsibilities :
- Arrange project requirements in programming sequence by analyzing requirements; preparing a work flow chart and diagram using knowledge of computer capabilities, subject matter, programming language, and logic.
- Maintain, manage and modify all software systems, tools, and applications.
- Develop and analyze functional specifications.
- Be the interface between end-users and software consultants.
- Resolve complex issues relating to business requirements and objectives.
- Coordinate and support software professionals in installing and analyzing applications and tools.
- Develop, analyze and implement testing procedures, programming, and documentation.
- Train and develop other software analysts.
- Analyze, design, and develop modifications and changes to existing systems to enhance performance.
- Design efficient IT systems to meet business and technology needs.
- Application Development: Design, code, test, and deploy software applications that meet business requirements and adhere to best practices.
- Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, traders, and other engineers, to gather requirements and ensure alignment on project goals.
- Code Quality: Conduct code reviews, participate in pair programming, and implement testing strategies to maintain high standards of software quality.
- Problem-Solving: Analyze complex problems, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions in a timely manner.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for software designs, processes, and user guides.
