Job Description:

TransUnion is seeking a Data Analyst with strong SQL and Spark SQL skills, and experience in ETL setup. This role focuses on data extraction, analysis, validation, and reporting, with exposure to cloud platforms like GCP or AWS as a plus. It is a full-time, hybrid position in Hyderabad, Telangana, India, involving at least two days a week in-office.

Qualifications & Skills :

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience: 1+ years in SQL, Spark SQL, and Unix commands; basic understanding of GCP or AWS preferred.
Skills: Intermediate analytical and communication abilities; strong problem-solving; proficiency in SQL/Spark SQL for querying, ETL setup, data validation, BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau), data quality checks, root cause analysis, Excel/reporting platforms, analyzing Java logs for troubleshooting, and cross-functional collaboration.

Roles and Responsibilities :

Write and optimize SQL/Spark SQL queries for data extraction and analysis.
Support ETL setup and data validation processes.
Create reports and dashboards using BI tools like Power BI or Tableau.
Perform data quality checks and root cause analysis.
Generate and maintain data reports using Excel or other platforms.
Analyze and interpret Java logs to troubleshoot and report issues.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
