Job Description:
This is a Support Engineer – L1 (Level 1) position at NTT DATA, based in Bangalore (Bengaluru), Karnataka, India. It is an entry-level technical support role, ideal for freshers or candidates with 0–2 years of experience.
Qualifications & Skills :
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or any related field.
- 0–2 years of experience in technical support, application support, or IT helpdesk (freshers with good internships or projects are welcome).
- Basic knowledge of SQL, Windows/Linux OS, networking concepts, and troubleshooting.
- Hands-on exposure to cloud technologies (especially Azure – ADF, Azure SQL, etc.) is highly preferred for many openings.
- Good communication skills (both written and verbal) – you’ll be talking to clients regularly.
- Ability to work in rotational shifts and handle pressure during incidents.
- Bonus: Any certification in Azure, ITIL, or basic scripting (Python/PowerShell) is a plus.
They value quick learners who stay calm, follow processes, and escalate issues properly when needed.
Roles and Responsibilities :
- Demonstrated ability to support ADF, Azure SQL, Databricks, Snowflake, and PBI in production environments
- Effective operation in a 24×7 support model with rotating shifts
- Monitor production data pipelines on a 24×7 basis
- Perform initial incident triage and severity classification
- Execute documented runbooks and standard recovery procedures
- Maintain incident communications, ticket updates, and status reporting
- Escalate unresolved incidents to Level 2 with relevant diagnostic context
