Job Description:

IBM, a global technology leader, is recruiting for a Quality Engineer-SDET position within its IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers). This mid-level role focuses on designing, building, testing, and deploying automated testing solutions to minimize manual efforts in the software development lifecycle (SDLC). You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance testing efficiency, support tool recommendations for automation in areas like test management and defect tracking, and drive innovation in quality assurance for client projects. It’s an opportunity for experienced SDETs passionate about automation, web technologies, and full-stack testing in a dynamic, client-facing environment.

Qualifications & Skills :

Any Bachelor’s Degree

Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills

Core Competency: Ability to analyze functional requirements, design test scenarios, and troubleshoot issues with minimal disruption.
Dassault Focus: Customer-facing optimization; creative solutions for CRM/sales tools.
IBM Focus: Debugging production issues across distributed systems; using stubs/mocks for testing.

Soft Skills

Communication: Clear documentation of issues/resolutions; collaboration with cross-functional teams (dev, QA, PM).
Adaptability: Working in fast-paced environments; meeting SLAs for ticket resolutions.
Attention to Detail: Ensuring bug-free releases and high-quality user experiences.

Roles and Responsibilities :

Understands functional requirements and designs optimized test scenarios, identifies test cases, and codes them to be integrated with application code and DevOps pipeline for automated execution and reporting.
Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure automation solutions meet business needs and are aligned with industry standards.
Troubleshoots and debugs automation issues, and optimizes automation solutions for performance and scalability.
Develops and maintains test data and test environments to support automated testing. Analyzes test results and provides insights to stakeholders to improve software quality and reduce defects.
