Job Description:
Inviting applications for the role of Process Developer – OTC, Cash Application. In this role, you will work as a Cash Applicator, responsible for applying cash against invoices, processing refunds, and handling the end-to-end cash applications process. This position involves day-to-day operations in the Order-to-Cash (OTC) domain, focusing on Invoice to Cash transactions (Receivables, Disbursements, Cash Apps) for major clients, such as in the P&C Insurance sector, while maintaining service level agreements (SLAs). The role emphasizes accuracy, timeliness, and coordination to resolve disputes and ensure efficient cash reconciliation.
Qualifications & Skills :
- Graduation in any stream (Bachelor’s degree required).
- Minimum 0-2 years of meaningful work experience in OTC domain, preferably in cash application or collections management.
- Prior experience with SAP ERP is highly preferred.
Skills: Must-have skills:
- Deep understanding of cash applications process, upstream/downstream collections/exceptions.
- Proficiency in SAP ERP for receivables and disbursements.
- Excellent English language skills (verbal and written) for customer communication.
Good-to-have skills:
- Experience in AR reporting and dispute resolution.
- Knowledge of finance processes in sectors like insurance.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Strong analytical skills for reconciling payments and addressing discrepancies (e.g., double payments).
- Interpersonal and customer service skills for handling queries via email/phone.
- Ability to maintain SLAs and prepare reports (daily/weekly AR metrics).
Roles and Responsibilities :
- Identify and resolve unidentified cash; manage end-to-end process of cash applications.
- Process cash application functions to invoices at assigned sites, ensuring DRR is completed timely, accurately, and confidentially.
- Follow up on customer/internal disputes, questions, and work with departments for resolutions.
- Reconcile orders to match customer books, validate credits/debits, and send for collection or refund.
- Review open AR listings daily, apply cash receipts, and address payment issues like double payments or discrepancies.
- Prepare weekly AR reports for team leads and management.
- Complete reconciliations of unmatched payments for proper and timely application.
- Provide payment plans based on customer requirements.
- Solve queries related to cash application and coordinate with customers/internal stakeholders.
- Deliver quality customer service by researching and responding to inquiries quickly and effectively; escalate issues to seniors as needed.
- Contribute to process and automation improvements; implement strategies to reduce past dues and avoid adverse impacts.
