Job Description:

Cognizant is currently hiring for the position of Service Desk Engineer – Voice Process, a role integral to their IT support operations. Below is a comprehensive overview of the responsibilities, required skills, and career prospects associated with this position.

Qualifications & Skills :

  • Candidates with B.E/B.Tech, BCA, B.Sc, M.E/M.Tech, MCA, or any degree are eligible to apply, typically requiring a minimum of 50-60% aggregate in their academic record (X, XII, Diploma, UG, or PG) with no standing arrears.
  • Open to Indian nationals or OCIs residing in India.
  • Flexibility to work from any Cognizant office location and in any shift (including night shifts for some roles) is mandatory.
  • Experience Level: Primarily aimed at freshers or candidates with 0-1 years of experience.
  • Work Model: Hybrid (combination of remote and on-site work, depending on business requirements). No travel is required for this role.
  • Must have skills:
    • Spoken English
    • Basics of Computer functions
    • Customer interaction.
    • Basics of Excel.
    • Knowledge of Ticketing system.
  • Spoken English: Strong verbal communication skills for effective customer interaction.

  • Adherence to customer security and compliance requirements
  • Adherence to customer communication etiquettes
  • Ensure stated productivity requirements for the engagement Project/Process
  • Contribution to continuous service improvement plans (CSI) Team/People
  • Contribute to and participate proactively in knowledge sharing sessions
  • Act as a buddy for new hires Organization
  • Adherence to Organizational policies and processes (including Cognizant’s security policies, LP, timelines etc.). Degree of Independence/Supervision required.
  • Performs routine and standard tasks independently
  • Take decisions as per laid down procedures / process on Technical Solutions & escalations related to own area of work
  • Seeks approval for process deviations, for routine and low priority incidents
  • Seeks approval for process deviations, for new & Unique /Urgent High Priority Issues related to technical aspects
