Job Description:
Capgemini is running off-campus hiring for Data Analyst roles (often entry-level or associate positions) targeted at freshers and early-career folks in India, with locations like Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, Mumbai, and others. These are full-time opportunities in their analytics, consulting, or engineering teams, where you’ll handle data analysis to support business decisions, client projects, or internal ops.
Qualifications & Skills :
- Bachelor’s degree (B.E./B.Tech, BCA, B.Sc, or any graduate/post-graduate in relevant fields like Computer Science, IT, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or Commerce).
- 0-2 years experience (freshers are very much eligible; some roles accept up to 3 years).
- Strong basics in SQL for querying, data validation, and analysis.
- Familiarity with data tools like Excel (advanced), Power BI/Tableau for visualization, or Python/R for scripting (not always mandatory but a big plus).
- Good analytical thinking, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
- Communication skills to explain findings and work with teams/clients.
Roles and Responsibilities :
- Develop, optimize, and maintain PySpark data pipelines for ETL/ELT workflows.
- Process and transform large datasets in distributed computing environments (Databricks, Spark clusters, EMR, Synapse, HDInsight, etc.).
- Write clean, efficient, reusable code in Python and PySpark.
- Ensure data quality through validation, cleansing, and normalization tasks.
You’ll support data-driven projects, often under guidance at first. Typical stuff includes:
- Analyzing large datasets to find trends, patterns, and insights for business or client decisions.
- Writing and optimizing SQL queries, building data models, and preparing analytical datasets.
- Creating dashboards, reports, and visualizations using BI tools.
- Validating data quality, cleaning datasets, and troubleshooting issues.
- Collaborating with business teams, consultants, or tech groups to understand requirements.
- Contributing to process improvements, ad-hoc analysis, and basic automation.
- Learning advanced tools (like cloud platforms) on the job and applying them to real scenarios.
