Job Description:
Larsen & Toubro (L&T) is looking for candidates with knowledge of concrete general arrangement (GA) drawings, reinforcement detailing and AutoCAD drafting. This role focuses on preparing accurate engineering drawings, calculating concrete and reinforcement quantities, incorporating design changes and maintaining project documentation according to established standards.
The selected candidate will work closely with design engineers to convert engineering inputs into detailed construction drawings. The role also involves checking drawings, maintaining revision records and ensuring that approved documents are uploaded to the project’s document management system.
This opportunity is suitable for Civil Engineering graduates and professionals who have an interest in structural drafting, reinforcement detailing, construction documentation and engineering design support.
Qualifications & Skills :
- Diploma, BE or B.Tech in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD for preparing and revising engineering drawings.
- Understanding of concrete general arrangement drawings.
- Knowledge of reinforcement detailing and reinforcement drawings.
- Ability to calculate concrete and reinforcement quantities.
- Understanding of drawing standards, scales, layers, symbols and title blocks.
- Knowledge of drawing numbering and revision-control procedures.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and design inputs.
- Good attention to detail and drawing-checking skills.
- Ability to coordinate with design engineers and incorporate their comments.
- Knowledge of drawing registers, reference lists and documentation procedures.
- Familiarity with document management systems; experience with Wrench is beneficial.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
Roles and Responsibilities :
As a Concrete and Reinforcement Drawing Engineer, the selected candidate will be responsible for preparing, checking and maintaining engineering drawings and related documentation.
- – Prepare Concrete General Arrangement and Detailed Reinforcement Drawings: Prepare GA drawings, reinforcement detailing and drawing revisions using AutoCAD as per project standards. Calculate concrete and reinforcement quantities.
- – Maintain Drawing Standards: Ensure proper title blocks, drawing numbering, revision history, scales, layers, fonts, symbols and drawing references.
- – Coordinate with Design Engineers: Understand design inputs and incorporate comments, clarifications and design changes into drawings.
- – Perform Drawing Checks and Documentation: Conduct drawing checks, maintain check prints, update drawing registers and lists, and keep records current.
- – Manage Drawing Deliverables: Organize final approved drawings, maintain reference drawing lists and upload final drawings into the Document Management System software, including Wrench.
