Job Description:

MUFG is hiring for a Cyber Security – Analyst position in its Bengaluru branch. This is an opportunity for candidates who want to build a career in cyber security, information security, security operations and risk management within the banking and financial-services industry.

The role involves supporting the organization’s cyber-security operations and helping protect systems, applications and information from security threats. Candidates may work with security monitoring, incident investigation, vulnerability management, security controls and other activities that help identify and reduce cyber risks.

This opportunity can be suitable for candidates with a strong interest in cyber security who are comfortable analyzing security alerts, investigating unusual activity and working with different technology and security teams.

Salary Expectations: MUFG has not publicly disclosed a fixed CTC for this specific requisition. A realistic market expectation for an Analyst-level cyber-security position in Bengaluru is approximately ₹4–12 LPA, depending on experience, technical skills and the final compensation structure.

Eligible Batches: 2026 graduates can be considered for fresher/entry-level eligibility, while 2025, 2024 and other recent graduates may also be suitable depending on the experience requirements applied to the vacancy.

Qualifications & Skills :

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, Engineering or a related field
Basic understanding of cyber-security concepts
Knowledge of information security principles
Understanding of networking fundamentals such as TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS and firewalls
Basic knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems
Understanding of common cyber threats and attack methods
Knowledge of security monitoring and incident management
Familiarity with SIEM and security-alert analysis is an advantage
Basic understanding of vulnerability management
Good analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail
Good written and verbal communication
Ability to work with security, technology and business teams
Willingness to learn new cyber-security tools and technologies

Roles and Responsibilities :

Monitor security alerts and identify potentially suspicious activities.
Analyze security events and determine whether they represent genuine threats.
Investigate security incidents and collect relevant information.
Support incident-response activities according to established procedures.
Escalate high-priority security incidents to senior security teams.
Assist with vulnerability identification and remediation activities.
Review security logs and investigate unusual system or user behavior.
Support security monitoring and reporting activities.
Help maintain security documentation and incident records.
Work with infrastructure, application and technology teams to resolve security issues.
Follow information-security policies, procedures and controls.
Assist with security assessments and risk-reduction activities.
Stay updated on emerging cyber threats and security technologies.
Contribute to improving security processes and operational efficiency.
