Job Description:

The Associate 1_AM – HF&PE (Hedge Funds & Private Equity) role at KPMG Global Services (KGS) is an operational position within the Financial Services vertical. This track encompasses positions ranging from entry-level Associate 1 to mid-level execution support as an Assistant Manager (AM), typically mapped across the Global Delivery Center (GDC) setup.

Qualifications & Skills :

Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or MBA finance from reputable universities with excellent academic result, majoring in Accounting, Taxation or Finance.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel required.
Understanding of annual US and state tax return compliance requirements for corporate and/or partnership entity types required.
Demonstrate effective verbal, written and organizational skills to communicate clearly and professionally with team members and engagement teams; attention to project details, timelines and work ethic to accomplish project assignments.
Ability to manage time and multiple assignments based on instructions provided to meet or exceed expectations in a deadline driven environment.

Roles and Responsibilities :

Learn and apply tax compliance process standards for multiple types of corporate and/or partnership projects from initiation through completion.
Facilitate tax data gathering and document management for preparation of basic tax return filings and deliverables. Analyze and process tax and financial data using one or more of KPMG’s proprietary tax technology tools to produce tax compliance client deliverables.
Ability to handle and complete multiple tasks within a defined timeline and in accordance with quality control standards.
Work with engagement lead utilizing effective communication and collaboration skills to achieve common goals that contribute to quality client service.
Participate in periodic training and professional development.
Apply skills gained in training to optimize use of tax technology, process or improve quality of tax deliverables and services provided.
