Job Description:
This is a Software Engineer, AIML position at NatWest Group, on a fixed-term contract for 6 months (full-time). It’s based in Bangalore, India, at their modern Taurus 4 office in Bagmane Constellation Business Park. The role is all about building and maintaining AI/ML-driven solutions that are customer-focused, high-performance, and secure—perfect for someone early in their career (0-1 year experience) who wants hands-on work in cutting-edge AI like NLP, Generative AI, LLMs, and RAG. You’ll join a feature team, collaborate across the platform, and get exposure to the full software lifecycle in a banking context. Fixed Term Contract (6 months)
Qualifications & Skills :
You’ll need a background in software engineering with a B.Tech or M.Tech, preferably in AIML, software design, architecture, and bring an understanding of how your area of expertise supports our customers.
You’ll also need:
- 0 to 1 year experience in AIML
- Proficiency in Python and AIML, including LR, NER, deep learning, NLP, Gen AI, LLM’s and RAG
- The ability to utilise AWS services to deploy and manage machine learning models
- Experience of working with development, bug tracking tools and wikis
- A background in solving highly complex, analytical and numerical problems
Roles and Responsibilities :
In your new role, you’ll engineer and maintain innovative, customer centric, high performance, secure and robust solutions.
You’ll be working within a feature team and using your extensive experience to engineer software, scripts and tools that are often complex, as well as liaising with other engineers, architects and business analysts across the platform.
You’ll also be:
- Working in permanent teams who are responsible for the full life cycle, from initial development, through enhancement and maintenance to replacement or decommissioning
- Collaborating to optimise our software engineering capability
- Designing, producing, testing and implementing our working code
- Integrating APIs for seamless data exchange between systems
- Conducting research and staying up-to-date on the latest trends in AI/ML
