Job Description:
This is a Financial Services Business Analyst role at TransUnion’s Global Capability Center (GCC) in Chennai, India. It’s a full-time position focused on bridging business needs with data-driven solutions in the financial services space—think credit risk, lending, fraud prevention, and analytics for banks or financial institutions. You’ll work closely with global teams to analyze requirements, design solutions using TransUnion’s credit bureau data and tools, and help clients get more value from their decisions. It’s a great mix of analytical work, stakeholder management, and domain expertise in finance—ideal if you’re into understanding how data powers lending or risk strategies, with good growth potential in a credit information giant.
Qualifications & Skills :
- A minimum of 1 years’ experience in a rigorous business analyst role with demonstrated experience completing market research, performing financial analysis and preparing business communications and presentations
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with demonstrated experience extracting insights from large datasets
- Aptitude leveraging business intelligence tools and writing intermediate SQL queries for data extraction
- Proficiency building reports and graphics, with experience leveraging data visualization tools, such as Tableau, preferred
- Advanced experience with the MS Office suite, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint to carry out and communicate the results of analysis
- BA/BS from top-tier institution or equivalent work experience
- High level of English language proficiency in both verbal and written dimensions
- Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize and contribute to multiple assignments simultaneously with evolving deadlines
Roles and Responsibilities :
- Conduct general market research activities by gathering and synthesizing primary and secondary information to provide a broader understanding of the organization, our customers and business partners and the market dynamics in the industries we serve
- Extract, normalize and segment data from large datasets and databases (e.g., billing systems, sales data, depersonalized credit data, etc.) leveraging SQL and business intelligence tools
- Analyze revenue of customers and business segments to identify trends and/or market conditions impacting our business
- Evaluate market trends and expansion opportunities and translate analytical findings into insightful, succinct and compelling communications and business presentations
- Prepare financial analysis to support financial forecasting and investment business cases
- Complete ad-hoc analysis and benchmarking on existing customer accounts and prepare reports for internal and external distribution
- Create financial, sales and operational reports for Financial Services management
- Help to cultivate an environment that promotes excellence, innovation, and a collegial spirit
- Perform multiple tasks simultaneously and deal with changing requirements and deadlines
