Job Description:

This is an entry-level Software Engineer, I position at Zebra Technologies, based in Bangalore, India (fully onsite). It’s perfect for freshers or folks with up to 2 years of experience who are into software development, automation, and testing in a fast-paced Agile setup. You’ll be working on building and maintaining software for Zebra’s products—like integrating hardware and software, automating deployments, creating testing frameworks, and ensuring data pipelines run smoothly. A big focus here is on QA automation, CI/CD, and validating data processes, so it’s a great mix of coding, testing, and problem-solving with modern tech. If you’re in Bengaluru (or nearby), this could be an awesome opportunity to kickstart your career in enterprise tech!

Qualifications & Skills :

Zebra is looking for someone early in their career, so the bar is approachable but they want solid technical fundamentals.

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree (they mention it specifically, though context seems general).
  • 0 to 2 years of experience.
  • Strong problem-solving and quantitative skills.
  • Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks like Robot Framework and Selenium.
  • Good coding skills in Object-Oriented languages, especially Java.
  • Experience with scripting languages (Bash, Ruby, Python, or JavaScript).
  • Ability to write SQL queries for data validation.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to work in cross-functional teams.

Preferred (nice-to-haves):

  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) PaaS.
  • Interest in advanced stuff like Genetic Algorithm test generation.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools and custom alerting.

Roles and Responsibilities :

You’ll be involved in the full software lifecycle, with a heavy emphasis on automation and quality. Day-to-day, expect to:

  • Design, develop, and maintain software for Zebra’s products and systems.
  • Integrate software with hardware to keep everything running smoothly and consistently.
  • Build and improve automation frameworks for deployments with minimal manual work.
  • Conduct end-to-end testing of data ingestion, pipelines, transformations, and validations—often using SQL to check results.
  • Write QA automation scripts to catch problems and root causes early.
  • Analyze processes, troubleshoot issues, spot defects, and recommend fixes.
  • Develop user documentation, test structures, and review upgrades.
  • Work in an Agile setup, collaborating with teams, managing deployments, and staying on top of the latest tech.
  • Deliver results to stakeholders and contribute to continuous improvements.
