Job Description:
Northern Trust frequently conducts off-campus drives and early career hiring for Analyst positions, targeted at fresh graduates or those with minimal experience (0-6 months). These roles are often part of their broader early career programs, including rotational or fixed positions in operations, finance, risk, compliance, securities processing, fund accounting, or data analysis.
Qualifications & Skills :
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce (B.Com/M.Com), Business Administration (BBA/MBA), Economics, or related fields.
- Freshers (2023-2025 batches) or up to 0-6 months of experience.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel).
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of financial markets, securities, or basic accounting is a plus but not always mandatory.
Skills Required:
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Basic understanding of financial instruments or operations (training provided).
- Proficiency in tools like Excel; familiarity with SQL or data tools is advantageous for some roles.
- Ability to handle shift-based work (including night shifts for global support roles in India).
Roles and Responsibilities :
- Support day-to-day operations in areas like securities processing, trade settlement, fund administration, reconciliation, or client reporting.
- Identify, analyze, and resolve discrepancies or issues within established guidelines and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Process transactions accurately, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and maintain data integrity.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners (e.g., custodians, clients) for timely resolution of queries.
- Prepare reports, perform data analysis, and contribute to process improvements.
- Handle tasks in middle/back-office functions, such as hedge fund services, asset liability management, or investment operations.
