Job Description:

This role involves applying broad knowledge of technical disciplines or advanced knowledge of specific technical practices. The individual will identify problems in existing systems and modify them by following defined work procedures. This is an operationally oriented role responsible for achieving day-to-day defined tasks and works under the close supervision of a Team Lead or Project Manager.

Thorough understanding of 3GPP specifications and network vendor tests.

QXDM, QCAT, QPST, Prism, Anritsu, Keysight test instruments.
Test scripting tools like RTD (for Anritsu) or equivalent.
Trace/log collection tools, core dump analysis tools, flashing tools.

Programming Languages:

Scripting languages: Shell scripts, TCL scripts, Python, Perl.
Programming languages: C, C++, TTCN.

Specialization:

2G, 3G, 4G, 5G, Interoperability Testing, VSAT-SATCOM.

Must-Have Skills

Strong understanding of protocol testing across various mobile communication technologies.
Proficiency in scripting and programming languages relevant to test automation.
Experience with industry-standard testing tools and platforms.
Ability to analyze and debug complex issues in communication protocols.

Protocol Testing:

Modem/UE Protocol Stack Testing across 2G/3G/LTE/5G technologies.
Interoperability testing with various network operators and dealing with NEM labs (e.g., Ericsson, Nokia, Alcatel-Lucent).
Understanding network scenarios (signaling & user plane call flow), developing test plans and test cases, and executing them using automation frameworks.
Collecting required logs and analyzing/debugging issues found during regression.
Proficiency in 3GPP Radio Access Technologies (RAT) with air interface, network signaling, Layer 2, Layer 3 protocols of UE & RAN side, and NAS layer from UE and core network.
Automation using scripting languages like PERL, Python, and TTCN.

Roles and Responsibilities :

Design, coding, testing, bug fixing, documentation, and technical support in the assigned area.
Ensure on-time delivery while adhering to quality and productivity goals.
Adhere to guidelines and checklists for all deliverable reviews.
Send status reports to the team lead and follow relevant organizational processes.
Enhance technical capabilities by attending trainings, self-study, and periodic technical assessments.
